Our first Tesco Business Service has been established in 2004 in Bengaloru, India. The next step now to set up a brand new Tesco Business Services team for Central Europe. The team will be based in a new business services center in our existing Vaci út office in Budapest and will create hundreds of new specialist roles. The new team will provide dedicated support for colleagues and customers in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.

Roles and responsibilities:

The Human Resource team within Tesco Business Services focuses on managing the employee life cycle within the organization. It hires and on-boards people, develops and manages Tesco Performance Management and Compensation Strategy, runs Career Management programs, Trains & Develops people on Leadership & Operational skills, while managing all activities related to HR administration.

We are looking for a Junior HR Generalist to support core HR processes and ensure they’re aligned with our business goals.

As a Junior HR Generalist you will be responsible for:

  • Support the HR Business Partner with collecting and maintaining personal and project data in connection with the HR processes
  • Engage with the Business to deliver the people plan
  • Be a coach and guide business leaders on meeting people KPIs i.e. attracting, developing & engaging the right talent
  • Lead the delivery of the colleague lifecycle e.g. new starters, leavers, moves and payroll
  • Act as a control function and stand over the business code of conduct to mitigate against business or colleague risk e.g. be the escalation point from Protector Line etc.
  • Facilitating the talent cycle and encouraging the internal movement of colleagues for their development
  • Covering all activities related to all people structural changes
  • Processing complaints and investigations: track the progress, report, help in solving the problems, collaborate with People Safety Team
  • Discuss career-pathing options with high-potential employee

Our ideal candidates should have strong experience with HR practices and employee management. He/She will communicate with mid-level management to express new ideas and suggest solutions, considering budget limitations and our company culture.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years experience in an HR related role.
  • English knowledge on an advanced level is a must.
  • Experience in a Business Service Centre environment is a huge advantage
